La Academia de
Hollywood ha dado a conocer hoy la lista de 75 canciones que pelearán por ganar
el Oscar al mejor tema del año. Entre ellas, se encuentran las dos grandes
favoritas: "Let it go" de "Frozen" y "Young and beautiful"
de "The great Gatsby". Las nominadas al Globo de Oro "Ordinary
love" de "Mandela: Long Walk to freedom", "Sweeter than
Fiction" de "One Chance" y "Atlas" de "The Hunger
Games: Catching fire" también están en la lista, pero no así "Please
Mr. Kennedy" de "Inside Llewyn Davis" ya que ningún tema de la
cinta de los Coen era elegible. "12 years a slave" también se mete en
la preselección con el tema "My lord sunshine (Sunrise)".
El año pasado, la
Academia anunció nuevas normas para la categoría de Mejor Canción Original. Lo
primero y más importante: la proyección y el complejo sistema de puntuación
(recordemos que en los últimos años la Academia estipulaba que las canciones
debían alcanzar una nota mínima de 8.25 sobre 10 para lograr la nominación) fueron eliminadas y se volvía a garantizar una lista
de cinco nominadas. Los votantes tendrán que valorar las canciones en el
contexto de la película (aunque viéndolas en DVD) y tendrán que enumerar sus
cinco favoritas para la nominación. Las cinco candidatas se conocerán el 16 de
enero durante el tradicional anuncio de nominados.
