Los Hollywood Film
Awards celebraron anoche su puesta de larga televisiva con la 18ª entrega de
los premios creados por Carlos Abreu, unos reconocimientos que van dirigidos a
los profesionales más destacados del año... o a los nombres que suenan con más fuerza
para la carrera por el Oscar y cuyas distribuidoras parecen interesadas en que
se hable de sus candidatos. Sean cuales sean las sospechosas circunstancias que
rodean a este evento, “Gone Girl” y “The Imitation Game” fueron las grandes
triunfadoras de la noche.
Los HFA tienen claro
su inspiración en los Globos de Oro (la mitad de los dieciocho premios que se
entregaron ayer en la gala conducida por Queen Latifah eran para actores y directores)
y su deseo de marcar el camino a los aspirantes el Oscar: hasta cinco de los
intérpretes que suenan en la competida carrera a mejor actor recibieron ayer un
premio (Cumberbatch, O'Connell, Keaton, Redmayne, Steve Carell).
Otra decisión cuanto
menos llamativa fue darle los premios revelación a nombres como Eddie Redmayne,
Shailene Woodley y Jean-Marc Vallée, ya descubiertos en años anteriores en
películas clave en la carrera al Oscar como 'Les Miserables', “The Descendants”
y “Dallas Buyers Club”, respectivamente.
En cambio, un novato en Hollywood como Morten Tyldum se lleva el premio a mejor
director.
